Angola: State Secretary, Norwegian Diplomat Discuss Cooperation

Luanda — Norway wants to strengthen cooperation with Angola in the field of Human Rights with a view to working on awareness campaign on its respect in the country.

The issue topped the audience that the Secretary of State for Human Rights, António Bento Bembe, granted on Tuesday in Luanda to the Norwegian ambassador to Angola, Ingrid Ofstad.

At the end of the meeting, the Norwegian diplomat said that at this time, her country is committed working on a project that will enable Angola to know better the experience of the Norway in this field.

"It is important for Angola to see how Norway selects the topic and the kind of experience it can share in the field of human rights", stressed the diplomat, who also announced the holding soon of bilateral meetings to outline a common strategy for awakening the population on the human rights issue.

In his turn, the Angolan official said that the meeting focused on this field, planning new actions and thus boosts the bilateral cooperation.
