Ghana: I Don't Belong to Any Party - Prophet One

Kumasi — The Head Pastor of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Centre in Kumasi, Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Opambuor Adarkwa Yiadom has emphasized his neutrality stance when it comes to partisan politics. The influential man of God has asserted that he is not a member of any political party so far as his calling is concerned.

He told listeners of New Mercury 91.5 FM, a local radio station he owns on Tuesday evening for the attention of Asanteman and the general public that he does not meddle in politics and want not to be dragged into it because he is not a card bearing member of any of the parties let alone support them.

Rev. Adarkwa Yiadom who answers to Prophet One and the Nation's Prophet was reacting to rumours doing the rounds that he is a member of the one of the leading political parties in the country.

According to him, while some sources are variously claiming that he is a member of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and an ardent follower of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the same time.

He said, however, that he intercedes a lot for leaders and their activities and that should not be construed as vested interest to warrant a membership of any party.

"I am not an NDC member neither am I an NPP supporter. I pray a lot for political leaders in my capacity as a Man of God. Period. ", he explained saying his preoccupation is to win souls for Christ.

Asserting his position further , the Senior Prophet indicated that he was not part of the Special Congress of the NDC in Kumasi recently neither did he partake in the Praise and prayer festival by the NPP at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium last Sunday.

"In fact, I was not invited by any party to be part of their activities" he explained and queried the source of the rumours of his membership of a particular party.

Junior pastors of the church with him in the studio associated with the position of their head pastor.

Associate Pastor, Rev. Maxwell Acquah alias Chief, also Known as Vim Papa, collaborated Prophet One's position by declaring on the same channel that "we belong to Jesus Freedom Party and our main concern is to pray and deliver souls from the bondage of evil forces."
