Carthage — Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki conferred on Wednesday with International Monetary Fund (IMF) First Deputy Director General David Lipton.

At the end of the meeting, Lipton reiterated the IMF support to the transition process in Tunisia and readiness to boost financial and technical co-operation between both sides, notably to cope with some economic difficulties and meet social and development claims at this stage, reports a Presidency communiqué.

The meeting was notably attended by Central Bank Governor Chedly Ayari.
