Tunisia Condemns Israeli Raid On Gaza

Tunis — Official spokesman for the Presidency Adnan Mansar said on Wednesday that Tunisia condemned the Israeli raid on the Gaza strip, reads a Presidency communiqué.

"Tunisia condemns the dangerous escalation Israel is turning to in the Gaza strip with strikes on civilians and symbols of the Palestinian fight," Mansar declared, stressing that these unjustifiable attacks put the region under tension "and occur at a time when all the Palestinian factions are quiet."

Tunisia considers Israel's declarations, according to which "the elimination campaign" of leaders of the Palestinian resistance has started, as a "direct acknowledgement" of the crimes committed for days against the Palestinians and for which Israel should be penalised by the International Community, Mansar affirmed.

The communiqué also reads that "Tunisia urges the International Community to take the necessary care of the situation in the Gaza Strip and in all the occupied Palestinian territories".
