Kenya: MET Updates Set for Kyuso

The Metrological department plans to set up a Sh4 million facility at Kyuso district headquarters in, DC Peter Maina has said.

Maina said Sh3 million will be used for the infrastructure and the rest on equipment. He said the department will launch a FM radio station which will broadcasting weather updates round the clock.

It's presence, Maina added, will create jobs for locals. "I do not know the exact date but the project will start before the end of the year. We are currently holding meetings with leaders to finalise the arrangements for kick off."
