Egypt: Muslims Urged to Adopt Values of Sacrifice, Altruism

Grand Mufti Ali Gomaa urged Muslims to adopt the values of sacrifice, altruism and love of homeland in this defining moment in Egypt's history and the Arab and Islamic nation.

In a statement issued by Dar Al-Iftaa on the occasion of the new Hijri Year 1434 which begins on Thursday 15/11/2012, Gomaa said that the Islamic nation, which currently suffers from serious weaknesses, owns immense untapped capabilities which qualify it to play a leading role in the progress of human civilization.

He also called on Muslims to be united and work harder in order to face the challenges besetting them and their faith.
