Angola: Reverend Expresses Church's Support to Vice-President

Luanda — The secretary general of the Angolan Christian Churches Council (CICA), reverend Luís Nguimbi secured on Thursday in Luanda to the Vice-president of the Republic, Manuel Vicente, to rely on the support of the church, both in prayers and holding of actions for the well-being of Angolans.

The reverend said so in après conference after an audience that was aimed for the religious entity to congratulate the Vice-president on his inauguration in post, as well as hearing from him the ideas of the government for the coming times.

He recalled that all along the church has been a direct partner of the government in social matters, mainly in the promotion and retrieval of moral and civic values, thus it will continue in the same path.

The reverend expressed his concern about the indecorous behaviour of some youths lately, marked by loss of moral and civic values.
