Angola: Nation Can/2013 Opponents Lose in Fifa Friendly Matches

Luanda — The national teams of Cape Verde, South Africa and Morocco, opponents of Angola in the African Cup of Nations, taking place from 19 January to 10 February, in South Africa, on Wednesday lost in friendly games referring to last FIFA date of this year.

The national soccer team of South Africa, hosting the continental tournament, lost by 0-1 against the African defending champions, Zambia, while Morocco was defeated by Togo with the same score.

Cape Verde, which will make its debut in "African Cup" was also defeated 1-0 by Ghana.

Angolan national soccer squad played to 1-1 draw against Congo Brazzaville.

The campaign of the Angolan team, who makes its seventh participation in CAN, opens against Morocco, on January 19th, at Soccer City in Johannesburg.

On the 23rd of the same month Angola will play South Africa, ending the first phase before the debutants Cape Verde (27 January), at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.
