Zambia: UPND's Mumbi Quits

SPECIAL advisor to United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema, Edward Mumbi has resigned.

According to ZNBC news monitored in Lusaka last evening, Mr Mumbi tendered his resignation to party secretary general Winstone Chibwe but did not state the reasons for leaving the UPND.

Mr Mumbi who was once Patriotic Front (PF) secretary general, was before last year's September general elections, a sympathiser of the MMD but later joined the UPND and became Mr Hichilema's advisor.
