Ethiopia: Hailemariam Meets Special Advisor to UN Secretary-General

Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn here on Wednesday conferred with Maged Abdelaziz Special Advisor to the UN Secretary-General on Africa.

The discussion focused on MDGs, post 2015 agendas as well as peace and security issues. The Premier on the occasion said Ethiopia is striving to continue registering double digit economic growth. He also briefed the Special envoy about Ethiopia's contributing to maintain peace and stability in Africa.

The Special Advisor said that the UN will continue to support Ethiopia and Africa, particularly in the economic and political matters. He lauded Ethiopia's role in building peace in Africa and affirmed UN's commitment to support efforts of the country towards peace building.
