Nigeria: Fidelity Bank Wins ITF 2011 Award

Lagos — Fidelity Bank has been adjudged the best contributing employer in human resource development in 2011 by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

The Victoria Island Area Office of the ITF, the organizers of the award said that Fidelity Bank emerged tops among several other organizations nominated for the award primarily because of the bank's commitment to staff training and development.

At an interactive forum held for human resources/ learning & development practitioner last week, the ITF said that Fidelity Bank's robust career development plans for staff was particularly outstanding. They praised the courage and vision of the management for investing in the future of their staff.

Receiving the award on behalf of the bank, Chief Human Resources Officer, Fidelity Bank Plc, Napoleon Esemudje thanked the organizers of the award for working assiduously to improve the industry.

He said that the award is a great testimony and result of the board and management's commitment to improve not only the welfare of staff members but also achieve professional excellence and brand image in Fidelity Bank.
