Nigeria: Kaduna PHCN Strategises for Improved Power Supply

Kaduna — Management of the Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (KEDC) said it is developing a plan aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply to residents in its jurisdiction.

Speaking at the opening of a two-day retreat of the utility in Kaduna, Managing Director and Chief Executive of Officer of the Company, Mallam Idris D. Mohammed, said the retreat was an innovation on the part of the management to chart a new way forward.

Addressing the participants, Mohammed said, "this retreat has been put in place to help refresh your minds on the problems and challenges facing the electricity industry. There is no gain saying that power sector reforms are ongoing.

He said, "This throws up more challenges before all of us as operators of the system. We should use the opportunity offered by this gathering to discuss and evolve best strategies and practices."
