Namibia: Dolar Is Looking for Dancers

Windhoek — Soukous, Kizomba, Afro Pop and Rumba singer, Dolar Yves Idinu aka Dolar, who has just retuned from Angola where he collaborated with Angolan artists on this upcoming album, is looking for dancers as well as other Namibian artists for further collaborations.

"Artists such as Gazza, Jericho, Dice and Tequila are just great to work with. I am more then open to work with them, incase they want me to feature on their songs or them on my songs. I also want to give thanks to all the people who have been supporting my music and I am promising them great things ahead, they must just be patient and watch out for Dolar," he says.

Before disappearing from the country earlier this year, Dolar became the talk of the City when he gave a massive performance at World Music Day this year at the Palm Tree Park. He also had crowds craving for more when he performed at the Democratic Republic of Congo, D.R.C's Independence Day Party at the Chez Ntemba VIP lounge were he was acclaimed as one of the first artist in Namibia to perform live music in a club.

Dolar tells ARTLIFE that he has been in Angola for performances there and to look for connections for his upcoming album, Tomorrow, to be sold and distributed in Angola. While there he hosted successful shows with the first show on September 25 at Dona Monica, a bar dancing club, and the second was on October 9, at Casa Real, Casa Branca, all in Luandua, the Angolan capital. "At these two shows, I received many accreditations and I could not believe my self that I met with new artists who wanted to work with," says Dolar.

He however, adds that even though he did not get all the sponsorship he wanted, he managed to grab some big artists in Angola such as Yannich (Hip-Hop artist) and C4 Pedro to work with and feature on his album. " This was a great moment in my life when they agreed to work with me. Too bad we couldn't finished with the recording since they are such busy guys but I am planning to go back for two weeks again just to finish with this big project,"

Now that he is back in Namibia the first thing he is planning to do is to introduce his video titled My Beautiful One, which will be seen on local televisions soon. His album is almost finished but he is waiting for the right time to release it. "No need to rush, perhaps, no one is after me. I will do my things one step at a time" an excited Dolar says.

He adds that he wants his album to be the best of its kind with many sponsorship and videos. He will also be hosting two shows this month, one at Chez Ntemba VIP Lounge. "Everything is ready but I am still waiting for the Managing Director (MD) of Chez Ntemba to give me my date of the performances then I will go perform at Frankston Quest House after," he says.
