Namibia: Now or Never, Donkey Entertainments Join Forces

Windhoek — Walvis Bay based music label, Donkey Music Entertainment and Now or Never Entertainment, recently joined hands and plan on taking the music industry by storm.

Now or Never Entertainment owner and producer, DJ Capies, says the idea to work together came after he moved to Walvis Bay where he met with owner of Donkey Music Entertainment, Robert !Oubasen Utsile. " We will be under one roof from now on and we planning already on producing a Christmas album which will see us working along side each other for the better in this industry," says DJ Capies.

!Oubasen met DJ Capies during his many shows and was impressed by his style and professionalism that he wasted no time in setting up a meeting so that they could work together. "Many artists need to realise that they need to work together in the industry. As an artist you can't do everything by yourself and you do need the help of other entertainers, and we need to put aside differences and work towards growing the industry," he says.

!Oubasen adds that the first and only artist, apart from himself under the Donkey Entertainment label, is the dynamic Magaisa Da Bling who recently launched her debut album Showstopper, a mix of Damara Punch and House. Having started the label in 2004, it was only recently when he came across the young talent who was a dancer when they met and has since then taken on the role as a musician. "I heard her performing the likes of the late Brenda Fassie's tracks and she was just what the label needed and what the joint collaboration between the two labels also needs right now," says !Oubasen.

DJ Capies further adds that the merge will now mean work or the Christmas album is underway while there will also be a tour in the pipeline.
