Cameroon: Contraband Fuel Seized

Rapid Intervention Unit (ESIR) in Douala has intercepted a trailer with 11.268 tonnes of contraband fuel during a regular patrol around Carrefour AGIP on Monday, November 12.

The Renault trailer matriculated 33AVBO and driven by one Sonaibou Salimou was caught trafficking contraband fuel around the Petroleum Storage and Distribution Company (SCDP). Apart from the 11.268 tonnes of 'super', the trailer also had 25 thirty-litre containers of the same product.

The trailer belonging to a certain Ahmed Omais and all its contents were taken to the Littoral Regional Delegation of Water and Energy for further investigation.
