Egypt: FM - Egypt Not to Allow Israel Ties to Limit Its Support for Gaza

Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr said Thursday 15/11/2012 that his country would not allow its ties with Israel to undermine its support for the Palestinian people.

This came during contacts by the top Egyptian diplomat with a number of his counterparts, a statement by the ministry said.

Egypt condemns the ongoing Israeli attacks on innocent Palestinian civilians, Amr told the foreign ministers of Tunisia, Jordan and the UK, the statement said.

Egypt will work with international partners to stop the Israeli aggression, the minister said, noting that the country has already called an emergency meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers' Council to look into means of supporting the Palestinians.
