Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lt. General Sedqi Sobhi inspected one of the largest airbases in west the Suez Canal zone to stand on training activities and drills conducted by air force units there, the Armed Forces spokesman said on Thursday 15/11/2012.
Lt. General Sobhi was accompanied during the visit by high-ranking commanders, Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali said.
On the other hand, a well-placed source said that Sobhi inspected Fayed Airbase in Ismailia, to stand on training activities and drills conducted by air force units there.
Sobhi praised the distinguished level and technical capabilities of the pilots and their ability to carry out the tasks assigned to them, the source said.
The joint drills by the air forces and air defense forces are conducted to stand on the readiness of these forces to protect the homeland.
Sobhi held a meeting with a number of officers on the latest developments inside and outside Egypt along with the consequences of these developments on Egypt's security and stability.
