Egypt Working on Several Tracks to Stop Israeli Attacks Against Gaza

Presidential Spokesman Yasser Ali asserted Thursday 15/11/2012 that Egypt is working on several tracks with the aim of stopping the Israeli attacks against the Gaza Strip.

Intensive diplomatic efforts are being exerted with all the active players in the region and the world, Ali told al-Jazeera news channel. Efforts are also underway with international organizations such as the UN and the Arab League, Ali said.

The third track, he added, is providing all forms of aid to the Gazans.

The spokesman noted that President Mohamed Morsi has contacted a number of countries to exert efforts to stop the bloodshed and the Israeli aggression.

"We hope the situation would not get worse," he added.
