Motorola solutions has partnered with Westcon to introduce a new range of enterprise mobility solutions to the East African region.

Targeting high end businesses, the solutions include ruggedised mobile computers and enterprise class smart-phones; advanced mobile scanning and imaging solutions and a robust line of barcode scanners and RFID readers.

Its clients in the country include Kenya Power, Kenya Railways and Kenya Airways. It is also running Diageo's distribution management system across several African countries.

Carlos Ferraz, Strategy Consultant, Motorola Solutions Enterprise Mobility Africa, said the strategic business move was informed by the need to support growing needs of Kenya's developing business sector.
