OLYMPIC 800m champion David Rudisha and the two-time Olympic 3000m steeplechase star Ezekiel Kemboi tops the list of athletes for the third edition of the Athletics Kenya Gala night set for later this month.
Rudisha and Kemboi won Kenya gold medals at the world championships in Daegu and London Olympic Games.
Among the gold medalist at the 2012 Africa championships in Benin are Caleb Mwangangi (1,500m), Mark Kiptoo (5,000m), Kenneth Kipkemoi (10,000m) and Abel Mutai (3,000m SC) in the men's category while women include Gladys Cherono (10,000m) and Grace Wanjiru(20Km walk).
Athletes who won gold at the Africa cross country championships, world junior and world athletic championships and Olympic Games.
Other categories include coaches award, comeback award, athletes who have good record of corporate social responsibility award and press award among others.
The event which will be held on November 30 at Nairobi Club grounds will be graced by Attorney General Githu Muigai.
Speaking at the closing day of the AK seminar in Eldoret, Athletics Kenya treasurer Joseph Kinyua said there are 50 personalities to be awarded in twenty categories.
"All the names in the other categories have been identified. The award will come with a trophy and cash prize,"Kinyua said.
