Pay Tv services provider, Multichoice has launched a new discount offer to encourage its customers to pay their monthly subscriptions on time.

All Dstv subscribers will pay 10 per cent less if they renew their subscription before their due date. According to Multichoice general manager, Danny Mucira, an estimated 15-16 per cent of the subscribers have to be cut off before they pay for renewal.

It is aiming to reverse this trend mostly noted among the lower cost packages. "Subscribers who take advantage of this offer will at the end of the year have an equivalent of one month free viewing," he said.

"We are mindful of the current economic times and the impact on the purchasing power given the myriad of competing needs," Mucira said. The offer does not have end date yet, but he said it is open to review once they evaluate its impact.
