Kenya: Woman Held for Motorbike Theft

A woman was yesterday arrested over the theft of two motorbikes at the Siaya Red Cross offices on Sunday. Fayzah Ouma, 35, was arrested in her home in Ulafu where the two bikes were recovered during the raid by police officers.

However, her husband, Salim Mboha, escaped after he learnt of the planned raid. Mboha, a motorcycle mechanic in Siaya town, allegedly colluded with Erastus Mara, the watchman at the Red Cross premises.

Siaya police chief Stephen Cheteka said Ouma will be arraigned in court soon. Ouma declined to give the whereabouts of her husband.
