Human rights organizations have accused multinationals of forcing the government into signing the Economic Partnership Agreement at the expense of the local agriculture sector. Andrew Odete from the Kenya Human rights Commission says ratifying the agreements would affect small scale farmers who contribute 80% of all agricultural production leading to food insecurity.
