Kenya: More Colleges to Be Upgraded to University Status

Kenya will soon have 20 public universities up from the current 7. President Mwai Kibaki says this will come after 13 colleges are upgraded contrary to previous directions from education ministers.

Kibaki says that some of the new universities will be dedicated to science and technology education as Kenya adopts the Vision 2030 blue print.
