Angola: Minister Discusses Cooperation Plans With Portuguese Ambassador

Luanda — The minister of Environment, Maria de Fátima Jardim, Friday, here, received in audience the ambassador of Portugal to Angola, João da Camera, with whom she discussed plans for cooperation related to environmental issues, as well as its enhancement.

"I came basically to introduce myself, because I am here not so long ago and under the contacts I have had with the ministers, on this day, I came to the Minister of Environment and congratulate her reappointment to the position," said Joao da Camara to the press after the meeting.

Joao da Camara augurs that relations within the environment are reinforced and implemented successfully both in Portugal and in Angola, since they are committed to making their contribution in protecting and conserving the planet earth.

The environment minister, according to Joao da Camara, expressed its readiness during the meeting to strengthen cooperation with Portugal in regard to environmental issues, a matter that will be transmitted to the Government of that country.
