Angola: Ruling Party Discusses Renewal of Mandates in Bengo

Caxito — The provincial committee of the ruling MPLA party in northern Bengo Friday analysed the renewal of mandates and approval of the draft schedule of grassroots Assembly as well as communal and district conferences

Addressing the opening ceremony, the party's provincial first secretary of Bengo, João Bernardo de Miranda, stressed the importance of the meeting. The official appealed to the participants to pay greater attention to debate related to the outlined issue and contribute to its enrichment.

The politician expressed satisfaction over the level of maturity of the militants, which provide the party with significant results.

The meeting will also be marked, among other matters, by the election of the new first secretary of MPLA to the Dembos district, as the current one is holding new post at the National Assembly.

The VII meeting is being attended by the coordinator of the monitoring group to the northern Bengo province, Kundi Paihama and Teresa de Jesus Gonçalves, both members of MPLA politburo.
