Kenya: Women in Slums Suffer Due to Lack of Toilets

One in every three women has no access to a safe toilet, exposing them to shame, fear and violence.

A study by WaterAid conducted in several African countries among them Kenya shows that one in five women had experienced harassment or physical abuse in the last year while going to the toilet.
