Angola: Inefop Gets Jobs for Over 100 Young People in Cubal

Cubal — At least 18 youths finished on Friday a course of socio-professional training in the specialties of low voltage electricity, plumbing and mason, in Cubal district, central Benguela province.

The course under the auspices of the National Institute of Vocational Training (Inefop) attached to the Ministry of Public Administration, Employment and Social Security was the fourth cycle of training in Cubal district, part of the "This is Your Time" programme.

From the 220 enrolled candidates, 118 completed the course which lasted eight months, and 49 were trained in low-voltage electricity, 38 in plumbing and 31 in masonry For the trainees, the course opens good prospects for the labor market, and called on the government for their integration into society.

The trainer Manuel Domingos Mesquita, as coordinator of the center, praised the efforts made by local authorities so that they are engaged in the mobilization from their specific areas of youth and adults for their integration in the training that aims at reducing unemployment and simultaneously the crime level.
