The LAKE Victoria South Water Services Board has launched a programme to improve access to water from 28 to 60 per cent in the rural areas.
Moses Agumba, the board's CEO, said the move is aimed at reducing water problems in the countryside.
Speaking at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu during a stakeholder's workshop, Agimba they want to increase access to water in the urban areas from 57 to 80 per cent.
