Ghana: Funeral Announcement

His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, former President His Excellency John Agyekum Kufuor and the entire family of former Vice-President His Excellency Alhaji Aliu Mahama announce with deep sorrow, the passing away of the His Excellency, Alhaji Aliu Mahama today 16th November, 2012 at 9.40am after a short illness.

His Excellency the President further requests that special prayers be said for the soul of the former Vice-President at all mosques throughout the country after the usual Friday afternoon prayers, today 16th November, 2012 while all flags fly at half mast from today.

May Allah grant his soul perfect peace.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
