Libya: Extremists Threaten Sufi Leader

The head of a Tripoli Sufi lodge and training centre in Tripoli and his sons have received death threats from Libyan extremists, Libya Herald reported on Thursday (November 15th).

Abdullah Banun said a home-made bomb targeted his three sons last Saturday, leaving one injured. Another attack and death threats followed on Sunday and Monday.

Banun claimed that he was targeted for speaking out against the desecration of Sufi shrines in the country.
