Egypt: 47 Children Dead, 13 Injured in Assiut Crash - Interior Ministry

Death toll of the Assiut train-bus crash rose to 47 children in addition to their bus driver while 13 others were injured, the Interior Ministry's media office official said on Saturday.

According to a statement on the Interior Ministry's official Facebook page, concerned bodies are exerting all efforts to unveil the circumstances of the accident.

Prime Minister Hisham Kandil ordered offering all possible medical care for the injured.

The victims, dead and injured, were transferred to hospitals while rail crossing worker Sayed Abdo Radwan was detained pending investigation.
