Namibia: Two SA Nationals Arrested at Grootfontein During Police Operation

THE Otjozondjupa police have conducted a special operation at Grootfontein during which they focused on illegal dealing and possession of dagga, illegal liquor outlets, unlicensed firearms and traffic offences.

Nine people were arrested during the operation, including two South African nationals. The South Africans were found in possession of 1 394 grams of dagga with a street value of N$4 500, according to Police Deputy Commissioner Moses Khairabeb. Police sniffer dogs were used during the operation.

The police also issued traffic fines totalling N$40 500. One person was found in possession of an illegal firearm.

Khairabeb promised more police operations.
