Leader of the Senate, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba has expressed sadness over the demise of eminent jurist, Justice Kayode Eso.
Senator Ndoma-Egba, in a condolence message to the Eso family, which was released yesterday, said the death has left a yawning gap in the annals of the nation's judiciary.
According to the Senate leader, the judiciary has not only lost an icon, it has been denied the wisdom of a gem, whose illustrious service to the bar and the bench took the judiciary to glowing heights.
Senator Ndoma-Egba said: "While everyone who has had contacts with the Judiciary will sorely miss this rare breed of a judge, we all take solace in the indelible marks he has left behind.
He remained a shining star of the nation's Judiciary and he lived an exemplary life."
He further stated that it was painful that the Jurist was snatched away by death at this time when the nation's judiciary really needed his experience, wisdom and calmness.
