Kenya: Women Are Afraid to Get Into Politics Due to Violence

Women are afraid of getting into politics because they receive threats.

Pamela Tuiyott from UN women further says they have had cases where women withdrew their candidacy because their families were threatened and humiliated.

She also says a number of women voters even face domestic violence when their spouses don't support their political preference.
