Uganda: Kenyan Female Drivers Here to Test Muwonge

THE Kenyan female rally crew of Jedidah Weru and Stella Macharia will face off with Uganda's 2011 national rally champion (NRC) Super lady Suzan Muwonge in the Mbarara Motor Club sprint due next month in Lubiri Mengo.

The ladies dubbed, "Warembo Bila Makeup rally team", confirmed their participation in the event set for December 2 alongside five other foreign drivers from Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Zambia.

"There is one way of developing women in the sport and we are coming to compete in Uganda but we are expecting nothing less than victory," Macharia stated.

According to the organisers, Event will have first two official runs and thereafter the top 16 crews will be paired up for the double sprint to thrill the fans.

The sprint also organised in memory of the fallen rally drivers and the top three winners will win trophies honoring the late drivers, Jimmy Dean, Riyuzi Kurji, Abed Musa, Paddy Blick, Dennis Okori and Gerald Kiddu.

Christakis Fitidis and Elefterois Mitraros (Rwanda), Abdu Mwebatsya, Saidi Twizeyimana, Muhamad Mwanamayi (Burundi), Muhammed Essa (Zambia) and Anwar Asad (Kenya) are the other foreign drivers that have put pen on paper.
