Nigeria: Non-Oil Exporters Want Global Recognition for NAFDAC Certification

Given the fact that the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is among the 20 most reputable regulatory agencies in the world, Nigerian non-oil exports passing the agency's high standards should be considered fit for the world market, stakeholders in the sector have said.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the 3rd Nigerian Non-Oil Export Conference, Exhibition & Awards (NNECEA) 2012, organised by the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, the stakeholders said that NAFDAC should be regarded and re-envisioned as an agency that any product with its seal should be taken to be of international standard and acceptable in the global market.
