Nigeria: Omotosho Plant to Add 500 Megawatts to National Grid - FG

Lagos — Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) Limited says Omotosho Power Plant Phase ll will contribute additional 500 megawatts to the national grid by December.

Managing Director of the company, owners of the National Integrated Power Project (NIPP) Mr.James Olotu, who disclosed at the weekend in Ondo State while inspecting some NIPP power plants in the South-West said Unit 3 out of the four units in Omotosho is currently adding about 375 megawatts into the national grid.

He said the last unit would come on stream by December to make 500 megawatts. He said: "I have been assured by the contractor handling the projects that the 500 mega watts will be available by December to the national grid.
