Namibia: Fashion Show World Class

The first ever Namibia Fashion Show lived up to expectations with designers from Namibia and Africa showcasing brilliant designs. They proved exactly why they are ahead of their peers in their respective countries with magnificent collections that could compete on fashion stages around the world

Although beginning on a bad note with a very late start, the show was otherwise one of pure class and elegance.

McBright Kavari’s artistic Herero dresses, Maria Caley’s earthy Amakeya designs as well as Alex Kangala’s perfectly tailored suits stood out.

The event was financed by various corporate sponsors and was endorsed by Team Namibia as a Namibian product aimed at promoting the Namibian fashion industry.

“This will become an annual event and the designers will be announced as the event approaches next year. Namibian designers will as always take centre stage as usual and any new sponsors who would like to come onboard are welcome”, said event spokesperson Pius Okaba.
