Egypt: Israeli Missile Strike Hits Gaza Media Center, Wounds Journalists

Gaza Strip — Israeli aircraft fired missiles at two media centers housing media organisations including Sky News, al-Arabiya and al-Quds TV, in the Gaza Strip on Sunday, wounding six journalists including a cameraman, who lost a leg.

The Israeli military said the attacks were pinpoint strikes on Hamas communication devices located on the buildings' roofs, and accused the Islamist group of using reporters as human shields to try and protect their operations.

In a statement, the Israeli Defence Forces said: "A communications antenna used by Hamas to carry out terror activity against the state of Israel, was ... targeted."

Israel warned it was widening its range of targets and would go after military commanders of the territory's ruling Hamas.
