Egypt: CA Gives Withdrawn Members Two Days to Rethink the Matter

Constitution's Constituent Assembly (CA) headed by Hossam el Gheriani has given liberals and Church representatives who withdrew from the assembly two days to rethink the matter and return - if this does not violate the rules of the assembly.

Meanwhile, the CA picked Mohamed el-Sawi as its spokesman instead of Wahid Abdel-Meguid, who was among the group which walked out of the Assembly on Sunday.

For his part, Maj. Gen. Mamdouh Shahin, who represents the military in the Constituent Assembly (CA), denied reports that he had withdrew from the CA.
