Eritrea: Begu Administrative Area Witnessing Enrichment of Water Resources

Keren — The inhabitants of Begu Administrative area, Anseba region, said that they have managed to ensured ample water supply on the basis of enrichment of water resources.

Pointing out that the area is naturally susceptible to drain of underground water, they explained that the problem could be overcome through applying water conservation techniques along the water-rich Tinkulahas Escarpment.

Among the inhabitants, Ms. Zeineb Ismail and Mr. Saleh Adem expressed satisfaction with the water reserve the locality has secured for humans and livestock. They further stated that the potable water supply facility there has simplified daily activities.

More than 9 ditches were constructed last year along the gorges of Tinkulahas, reports indicate.
