Eritrea: New Elementary School Opens in Beyan Administrative Area

Nacfa — An Elementary School has opened in Beyan Administrative area, Nacfa sub-zone, at an expenditure of 1.7 million Nakfa. The school comprises 5 class rooms, 3 offices, potable water supply and other facilities.

Mr. Mohammed Fikak, director of the school, explained that the new educational facility has provided a conducive environment for the teaching-learning process, besides fostering the level of school registration in the locality.

Moreover, he disclosed that students who complete elementary education have been pursuing their studies in the Boarding School in Wegriet, and called on the inhabitants to extend a helping hand to national endeavors towards promoting community-based style of living.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Osman Mohammed and Mr. Mohammed-Nur Mohammed-Omar voiced satisfaction with the new educational facility, which has been put in place in line with the growing of the community's awareness pertaining to education.

Reports indicate that a total of 189 students, 97 of whom females, are currently learning in the school in Beyan village, 20 Km. south-east of Nacfa.
