Saturday evening was filled with fabulosity, glamour and dazzle at the 2012 Festival for African Fashion and Arts gala, held at the Ngong racecourse silver ring.

The brainchild of designer Ann McCreath, FAFA's fashion for peace ensemble has grown in the last four years to become the biggest fashion event in Kenya's society calender.

Inside the magnificent marquee, models strutted down the long catwalk in designs from leading fashion houses and designers like Nike Kondakis, Eritrean-born Zekaryas Solomon, Ghanian Bee Arthur, Kiko Romeo, Ugandan Gloria Wavamunno, Deepa Dosaja, John Kaveke, Kooroo, Nigeria's Mudi Africa, Monica Kanari, Anna Adero and FAFA insight winning designers Jamil Walji, Azra Walji, Galina Tatarinova, Ogake Mosomi, Anil Padia.

There were also showcases from accessory designers like Riri jewellery, Elisabetta Caplolino's "Le Collane di Betta", Embody and Jiamini.

Emcees Martin Keino and Cess Mutungi did a wonderful job of keeping the guests engaged. At the end of the evening the guests got to take home lovely hampers courtesy of Creme of Nature who were the main sponsors.
