Kenya: Ali Joins Isiolo Governor Race

ISIOLO South MP Abdul Bahari Ali has entered the Isiolo governor race. The MP declared his candidature at Merti in Isiolo during a rally attended by TNA presidential candidate Uhuru Kenyatta and 10 MPs.
The Mp switched from the position of Isiolo South parliamentary seat to the position of governor despite heavy criticism and resistant from some of the communities in the county.
Placard-carrying youth, who heckled him and demanded that he runs for a parliamentary seat. Bahari said he has the capacity to rid the county of the culture of fear and dependency that have hindered development in the area. He pledged to unite communities in the area.
