Luanda — The senior women handball team of Petro de Luanda, African club champions, qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition underway in Tangier (Morocco) until 25 November.
Petro de Luanda managed to qualify after a victory over FAP of Cameroon by 29-19.
With this victory, the Angolans add 8 points in the leadership of the series B, also shared by the Heritage of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Nairobi Water (Kenya) and Abo Sport (Congo).
In the first round, Petro beat Nairobi Water of Kenya by 46-9, while in the secod roud the club defeated Heritage Congo (35-14) and Abo Sport (28-24) in third round.
