Bobby Williamson is looking at the Cecafa Tusker Challenge Cup as a platform that will enable him assemble a team that will strongly vie for the CHAN Championship.
The Cranes tactician on Monday highlited this as the reason behind the inclusion
of some senior players like Hassan Wasswa and Henry Kalungi in the squad currently preparing for the regional tournament that kicks off next week in Kampala.
"Our focus is not CECAFA alone. Actually the main focus is the CHAN tournament," Williamson said after training.
The Scot dismissed the view that senior players suffocate their junior players coming through.

The Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) due next year in South Africa features home-based national team players. Uganda qualified for the previous edition that was held in Sudan.
