Namibia: It Is Time for Transition and Change

AS the year draws to a close we have been scanning our crystal ball conscientiously with a mixture of forbearing and deliverance. What our crystal ball portends is not auspicious as there are many unknown unknowns – at least, in the immediate future.

In brief, our country looks thus: We have a youthful population. This should be a boon for our future. Regrettably, very few have education and skills to approach the future with confidence. The vast majority are unemployed and ill-prepared to fend for themselves and help grow our economy which, in turn, would raise the welfare of our people. The overwhelming majority of our young thus remain unemployed and unemployable.
