Angola: Diplomat Stresses Relations With China

Beijing — The director of studies with the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Francisco da Cruz, on Monday here said that the investment in the co-operation with China took place in a due moment and is helping transforming Angola into a more modern country, Angop has learnt.

After peace in 2002, "the country needed to give many real steps under the national reconstruction", said Fancisco José da Cruz, during an economic talks in Beijing.

The Chinese financing came in a certain time. The Chinese credit line for Angola, worth 200 billion Kwanzas, was open in 2004 and since then it has already reached about 1.5 trillion Kwanzas.

The talk was organized by the Angolan embassy to China, under the commemorations of the 37 years of the country's national independence, marked on November 11.
