Luanda — Health ministers of Sao Tome and Principe, and Nigeria, respectively Carlos Gomes and Cristian Otu Omyebuchi, arrived Monday in Luanda to attend the 62nd session of the World Health Organization for Africa (WHO/Afro), running from 19 to 23 November, in Talatona Convention Centre, Luanda.
The meeting is expected to gather 440 delegates from 46 member countries of WHO/Afro, among them health ministers or their representatives.
The event is discussing, among other matters, the issue of HIV/AIDS in Africa, the international health regulation, the reforms taking place in the organization and the proposed budget programme for 2014-2015 period.
Other issues like the proposed of the regulation of regional committee and the assessment of report on consultative working group of expert in researching and development, are among other topics.
